Operational Facilities

montego bay

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Type: Onshore facility

Status: Operational

Overview: Constructed in just 15 months and commissioned in 2016, our Montego Bay Terminal has enabled Jamaica to diversify its energy supply for the first time, marking an important step towards ending the country's reliance on oil. Featuring landed storage, truck loading facilities, a regasification plant, and natural gas pipelines, the terminal supplies the 145 MW Bogue power plant as well as industrial customers.

old harbour

Old Harbour, Jamaica

Type: Offshore facility

Status: Operational

Overview: Commissioned in 2018, the offshore Old Harbour Terminal features an FSRU (Floating Storage & Regasification Unit) and natural gas pipeline. The facility supplies the 190 MW Old Harbour power plant and the ~150 MW Jamalco co-generation power plant, the Caribbean's first gas-fired combined cycle power plant.

san juan facility

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Type: Onshore facility

Status: Operational

Overview: Commissioned in April 2020, our LNG facility in the Port of San Juan supplies natural gas to the San Juan Combined Cycle Power Plant. The facility features multiple truck loading bays and is uniquely positioned to supply on-island industrial, commercial and transportation customers with liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Sergipe facility

Sergipe, Brazil

Type: Offshore facility

Status: Operational

Overview: We acquired this operational LNG facility and power plant in our Hygo acquisition. The Sergipe LNG facility supplies fuel to its adjacent 1.5GW power plant and serves the surrounding region with reliable, affordable energy.  New Fortress Energy owns 50% of the power plant.

Recent major milestone: Power generation turbines arrived onsite

Overview: We are developing an ISOFlex LNG import facility and merchant power plant at the Port of Pichilingue, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The project will provide power to an undersupplied grid, diversify Mexico’s energy supply, reduce harmful emissions, and lower electricity costs to end-users.

Nicaragua

Puerto Sandino, Nicaragua

Recent major milestone: Power generation turbines shipped and set to arrive onsite in April

Overview: We are developing a natural gas-fired power plant near Puerto Sandino to supply power to Nicaragua’s electricity distribution companies. The natural gas will be supplied by an ISOFlex facility we are also developing. The power plant and facility will contribute to Nicaragua’s long-term economic development by providing the country firm generation capacity and reducing harmful emissions.
